"Rio is the founding member of DollaBillz Music Group, a collective of artist, producers, and songwriters started in his hometown of Detroit,MI. He has been doing music since he was six, when he claims his mother wrote his first song. Growing up in the harsh realities of a single parent home in the slums, he started to gain respect from his peers via battle rapping. Towards the end of high school, his parents moved and he was transferred to a school in the suburbs of Warren,MI. Although standing out academically, feeling isolated, he decided to focus his time and energy on song writing. At the age of 18 he made the bold decision to chase his dream and move to Atlanta, GA, far away from anything or anyone he's ever known. His "Concept 21" EP released May 5th,2010.
