I've FlownThe Coupe

    fly/leave the nest
-to leave your parents' home for the first time in order to live somewhere else. "Once the kids have all flown the nest we might sell this house and move somewhere smaller"

THE average parent will travel the equivalent of almost three times round the globe - once their children fly the nest. The vigil will run until July, when the chicks are expected to fly the nest. The tawny twosome will remain at the trust until late summer when they will be free to fly the nest.
    NEST
children must fly the nest / leave the nest
    Children must eventually leave home.
When I learn something new - and it happens every day - I feel a little more at home in this universe, a little more comfortable in the nest.

What do you need when you move out on your own?

Whether you're 18, 26, or 52, we all have to move out of our parent's house eventually.
